I was browsing my music player in my Nokia when I stumbled upon this song which I downloaded but never played. Memories came flooding back. I decided to see if you tube has one by Roberta Flack and voila, the first clip. I would like to share this with my visitors, a song that moved me so much in my younger days.

Bravo.....kata tak nak....another cooler....real nice.
In our days...all we need is play such music...have the love one...our arm hugging her shoulder tight......to give her confidence..........walla...all hell went loose.....hahahahahaha
Nowadays....no style...need pills to drug the gal...or bullshit her...with false hopes.
Salam Cikgu,
Oooh! Thank you Cikgu, I have nearly forgotten about this beautiful number. Mmm...sure bring back memories :)
Shah,
Another memorable number from Roberta is Killing Me Softly With His Song. I was young and living in Johor then. Flash of memories of the two songs ..... aaahhh nostalgic.
monty,
This is our song la but I am sure the younger generation could also enjoy this song.
Shah,
How was the meet? Yes, brings back fond memories.
Zawi,
When I was searching I also found Killing Me Softly by Roberta Flack. Like you said ....aaahhh nostalgic
salam chegu,
bila saya baca tajuk je terus saya teringat arwah kakak saya elaine. lagu ni memang favourite dia.
Chegu,
This is one great song. Honesty, this is The First Time Ever I Heard This Song. Why I ever missed this one, I don't know. Maybe I have always preferred male artists and bands to female artists.
As I mentioned in one of your earlier postings, I can only relate to music/songs/singers up to the 1970s. Modern music are somewhat pretentious and losing identities. Retro music are not just nostalgic but most importantly they are evergreen. Some of the great songs of the days of yore were quite ahead of time then. That's why they don't sound aged or antiquated even today. Especially from bands like Led Zep, Pink Floyd or soloist like George Benson and R. Flack. Maybe in the future you can share G. Benson videos with us. I suggest The Greatest Love of All.
Hantutelor,
This goes to show that just because someone says that he/she likes rock doesn't mean they don't go for true beautiful melody.
I like George Benson too and once had a few cassetes. Those days mana mampu beli CD, yang pirate punya pun susah dapat.
Accia,
I read you comment in I think Shah's blog about the bloggers meet and am glad that you enjoyed yourself and made many new friends. Yes, this song always make us remember something, in fact all old songs for that matter.
I guess you were watching football.....when shit were posted into your blog.
Glad you deleted all,
Kerp's Arsenal....chetapok...elak...gone case. But glad kerp..expected that...thus...he should not be too disappointed. I have sen so many seasons....of Arsenal....football playing......and the best was having the a11 the eleven supermen...playing all the 32 games and won the cup. Those days are over for Arsenal. That's why smart Frenchman..Terry Aunrey......left ......knowing he had to shoulder it all over again....and he knows ...he it is impossible.
Arsenal have a poor track record for good finishing...while MU won so many time...due to their great teamwork...plus bookies great plans for these teams..year in year out.......hahahhhaha.
Somehow....kerp also like hero worshiping gone case type of team or people....hahahahahaha
I guess...he has a soft spot for the weaklings............hahahahahahaha
Yes...kata tak nak..Roberta Flack may not be famous....but she sure sings great and like one said...the song..."killing softly with his song"....is another great by her.
Suddenly....I begin to miss....the evergreen smooth male singer...Perry Como.
When one have alot of stress and want to doze off like a baby....with a song....just listen to such smooth slow old numbers.
Sure to like it..and sleep with peace.
Che'gu,
My apology for addressing you as Shah. I am so used t seeing utube of great songs at his site.
Care to post Roberta's Kiling Me.. next?
Monty,
Leave Kerp alone la. His team is not doing to well in the later period of the season but they are young. I could see them as a real threat in 2 years, seriously.
Yes, Perry como is a brilliant singer with a haunting voice.
Zawi,
I didn't even noticed it and frankly I don't mind. A minor slip that's all.
Anything for a friend, coming up real soon.
Cikgu,
The meet was great! But it could have been better with you around :)
