A picture immortalises mortals.

Well folks since there is nothing much on the political front accept some UMNO politicians biting each other's dick up, I think I should take this lull in the political weather to reminisce a bit more.

Remember the JACHFRINS I was talking about a few posts away, well thanks to Imbaraj, I have here a photo, that, prior to this I do not know of its existence, shows all but one of the gang.

We were sitting at the assembly point of BMHS next to the school bell which we were so proud of which just missed the shot and which was stolen a few years ago. To the people who stole the bell I curse that you grow pubic hairs on your nose and your balls would grow on the sole of your feet so that whenever you walk you would squish those nuts of yours and send smarting pain right up your eyes which would bulge with every shot of deep agonising pain. And if that is not enough may your parents disown you and your dog pee on you everytime you go to sleep and may you shit bricks every hour of the day.

Well anyway back to the group. I was told by Aravind that this photo was shot on the last day of our MCE exams. The owner of the camera was the late Chan and the photo was probably shot by Sia Boon Kheng.

I really did not know of the existence of this photo. The whole photoshoot thing completely escaped my mind but it sure brings back fond memories. According to Aravind, the photo was with him but was flicked by Imbaraj who is now in possesion of the photo.

When the late Farid was terminally in the hospital, Imbaraj, Aravind and Jalil made a copy of the photo to give him in the hospital but fate has it that they arrived a few hours too late. They then gave it to his family. Sad, really sad.

I did mention that the photo was of all but one and the scoundrell missing is Radzi. I wonder why. Maybe he did not take that last paper but whatever it is, if you are reading this out there Radzi or if anyone knows of a Radzi of BMHS class of 73/5A please contact me.

J = Jalil
A= Aravindan
C= Chan Keng San (deceased, plane crash)
H= Harikrishnan (deceased, road accident)
F= Farid (deceased, lung cancer)
R= Radzi (not in picture)
I= Imbaraj
N= Nazir
S= Mokhtiar Singh.

Anyone, just anyone out there who knows us from this photo please contact me at cikgunazir@gmail.com.

Ooops! I forgot to insert the photo. Here it is.Sorry, this photo was shot in 1973 so what do you expect of the quality.

Salam Cikgu,

No offence, but you don't look anything like the tough guy you are now :)

Say Cikgu, if you don't mind, I'm going to copy and paste the picture to my blog in the rare chance that anyone who visits mine may be of assistance. Perhaps, some of your readers could the same as well?

Dear KTN, your old picture says a thousands words. So much changes has occur from that time in the pic till now (race relations). I wish my son would have a muhibbah gang like you in his schooldays in the future so that he would understand others better.

Cikgu,

Takdaklah cam Genghiz tu...tapi nampak garang ada tu, adalah :)

Anyway, done. Hopefully, it will start a chain reaction and Radzi will respond.

Though not part of your group, your photo brings back a flood of memories.

I attended a school with a similar environment at about the same year. I was in Form 4 in 1973 and my group of close friends quite reflected yours, multiracial and happy-go-lucky. Fortunately for me, I still know where most of them are. We organise get-togethers in KL and many of them fly in if they live in East Malaysia or down south and if they live nearer, they just drive to KL. These occasional get-togethers can go on and on and nobody notices the time!

Thanks for sharing and bringing us back on this sentimental journey. It's really, really nostalgic!

Imbaraj spoke to me today, Nazir. He said he has met Radzi once before. It seems Radzi is working for PKNS.....(full name could be Radzi Ahmad, dia kata).He has misplaced the number now but has promised to search for it.
Hopefully he can find it lah. Then we will work towards a reunion maybe. Itu Bangali pun we can ask him to come down. You said dia ada banyak wang in his drawer kan? Now sure his father's money dia sudah inherit. So he can use some of it for the trip.

eskapisminda,
Thats a noble wish. Sometimes nowadays its the parents who stop their children from mixing.

Shot in 1973 is no excuse. I've seen early 1900s COLOR photos that looked as good as today's digicams.
