Kemarin saja ada kes gaduh. Dekat 20 budak Melayu pi pukoi beberapa budak Cina tapi tak terok sangat lah, maklumlah budak2 form 1. Memang la budak Cina tu jahat tapi budak2 Melayu tu pun sama teruk jugak. Depa kena sebat la, apa lagi. Ni pun orang dok kata kerja cikgu senang.
Someone out of the blue wishes me a happy teacher's day. I'm not a teacher, but 2 decades ago I tutored my kampung kids for their SRP and SPM. Some of them are already successful. You don't have to be a statutory teacher but if you are sincere in giving knowledge to the younger people and sharing knowledge with your peers, you will be appreciated. Thank you, Sir, in fact I learn a lot of things in this blog. Hepi titcher dey!

The best gift to a cikgu ialah pelajar boleh ingat apa yang cikgu ajar, at least to me that is dan bila dah dewasa kalau jumpa cikgu depa tegor kita. Guru akan rasa sungguh seronok. But the best gift of all is bila kita nampak pelajar kita berjaya.

Thanks. Yes, its nice to be a teacher. I have had the chance to know thousands of students in my 30 plus years of teaching. Yes, there are successful ones and also not so successful ones. I have ex-pupils shit dead by police for armed robbery, in jail while waiting trial for very high profile murder case in Penang, rempits, the works la. The best part is when out of nowhere you hear someone call out 'cikgu'. Thats the best gift of all.
