Amanat Ali - Hungama

Some may think what's wrong with this old man. I guess it comes with age, you mellow.

This Amanat Ali somehow haunts me with his melodious voice especially when its the classics that he treats.

For a young man to sing the classics is rare but to be good at it, is even rarer.

Now we know where the Malay Ghazal comes from.

No I am not promoting Hindi songs, I just love good sincere singing. I love singing that touches my heart and brings tears to my eyes.

Salam che'gu:

I have read a review about this guy last year(I think). He was very good.
And listening to the clip you put up- confirmed the review.

Che'gu why is the old Hindi songs like Ya Don Ki Baraat, Haathi Mere Saathi, A Gale Lag Ja are better than the recent ones?
I rarely listen to Hindi songs but of the new ones only Chaiya Chaiya struck a chord, that too after watching a Hollywood movie The Inside man.

It could be the singers. As for me, I prefer the classical and semi classical. You've got to be good to sing those.

Shah,
Different tunes evokes different emotions. Tapi jangan dibawa2 kepada different partners pulak. Partner biar satu, interests biar beribu.

Monty,
Yes, sometimes it could be frustrating. You need to play it and leave it for a while when it is about half downloaded then go back to the beginning.
